The likeable Joe Keery from Stranger Things is an Uber driver and likes to stream his life, but his follower count is very low and he decides to kill his customers to increase his popularity, but even that doesn't work so the only option is to hunt the popular. The current topic of social networking, where likes constitute life for some people and how far some are able to go to have a following! The film paces nicely, Joe Kerry plays the psychopath so well you even root for him, only the murders could have been grittier, but otherwise fine entertainment that managed to chill at times. Story***, Action>No, Humor>No, Violence**, Entertainment****, Music***, Visuals***, Atmosphere****, Suspense****. 6.5/10. ()
Spree cynically shines a light on the values of contemporary teen society, which builds its world on the number of likes, for which it will do anything. In other words, it’s nothing new under the sun, just ab-absurdum shifted to online murder for fun, but not in a fun or imaginative way, of course, but rather in a tediously drawn-out way, through selfie videos of a boy, even trying to touch on America’s racial problems. Spree is boring, creatively worthless and, mainly, as superficial as the subject it examines. ()
