The subject is great, no doubt about that, but in that execution I missed a bit more emphasis on originality, so I could say that I am looking at something really good. Martin Freeman is definitely a good investigator, he is actually good wherever he appears. However, it's worse with the camera, which apparently wants to refer to a popular morning show from West Germany - Lenssen and co. It bothered me a lot. Shaky, pseudo-themed, that kind of camera that flickers in front of the viewer's eyes and tries to create emphasis on reality, as if the viewer were right there. I fought with it a lot and when I finally accepted it, I was actually fighting with the fact that the British are sharpening the knife with this case for quite a long time and could have wrapped it up easily two episodes earlier. The subject is precise and accurate, but the processing is slightly predictable. ()
Generally speaking, I always like to watch film stories based on true events, if only because I often learn something I had no idea about before. But with A Confession in particular, I was a bit bored at times. Moreover, I was not completely satisfied with the final trial, as it could have been a bit more elaborate. On the other hand, I have to admit that the craftsmanship is very good. With the overall rating, however, I'm going one star lower than I originally intended because it's one of those series you watch once and that's it. (65%) ()
