The Cornish Mystery offers a case full of suspicion, false accusations and digestion, but even that doesn't stop the grey brain cells from unraveling and unmasking the perpetrator. Again, one of those episodes in which Inspector Japp takes a severe beating from Poirot, but we could have gotten used to that by now.

The setting of a small town is fully utilized for the needs of the short story, and the local details are incredibly beautiful. I also mean the people and how they look at a person and their crime, even if unproven. Hercule Poirot once again displays a slightly rough sense of humor, which works, giving us an original solution to the crime.
