The year is 2035, and Special Agent Gagano (Daniel Tadesse) dreams of leaving the CIA to open a business with his wife Malin (Gerda-Annette Allikas). Before he can hand in his resignation, however, a strange cyber virus attacks Psychobook, the CIA's operating system, forcing Gagano to enter cyberspace via virtual reality to combat the threat. Before long, however, the virus starts to reach out into the real world, destabilising the fragile socio-political order for its own ends, and Gagano, trapped in the VR world, must find a way out before it's too late. Ugh, well that was something else. A movie that is quite meaningful, difficult to digest, extremely messy and a mish-mash of styles. You may find yourself possibly incredibly carried away by this, totally confused, bored with the endless weirdness, or maybe you will just get a really bad migraine. I got something out of everything. I am however, quite curious which direction the ratings of this movie is will go after some time. However, I can reassure everyone with one piece of information and it is not a spoiler: Jesus really does show someone the way to the highway during the movie. [Sitges 2019]

Think of it as the Estonian Inception. It’s a chaotic blend of half-baked ideas, pop culture references, and political satire, all thrown into a mix that somehow remains relatively consistent story-wise. However, its forced bizarreness and eccentricity end up doing more harm than good. It’s another entry in the “weird for the sake of weird” genre. There were a few moments that made me chuckle or shake my head in disbelief, but for the most part, it was an unfunny drag.
