In order to escape a greedy Pokémon hunter, Celebi must use the last of its energy to travel through time to the present day. Celebi brings along Sammy, a boy who had been trying to protect it. Along with Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the gang, Sammy and Celebi encounter an enemy far more advanced than the hunter left behind in the past. This new enemy possesses a Pokeball called a "Dark Ball," which transforms the Pokémon it captures into evil and far stronger creatures. When Celebi is captured, the fate of the entire forest is threatened. (oficjalny tekst dystrybutora)

angielski Pokémon don't look good with CGI, especially when there are scenes that are traditionally drawn or a combination of both. It just doesn't look good. In this respect, the film is unfortunately extremely annoying. The screenplay doesn't compensate much for this; it's just an introduction to another super strong, although initially cute-looking Pokémon. For those who don't like Pokémon, this makes no sense. I kind of wonder why so many people keep giving Pokémon movies a Boo! rating. Do they keep watching them even if they didn't like the first two? Isn’t that a very bad use of one’s time? Or perhaps there's just a huge herd of idiots on FilmBooster who simply give Boo! ratings wherever it’s trendy to do so? Otherwise, there is one crucial piece of information in the movie, but I'm not sure if it's further utilized in the series. ()
