Jest rok 1942. W obozie Toccoa w Georgii grupa ochotników szkoli się na spadochroniarzy. Dowódcą Kompanii „Easy” jest znienawidzony przez wszystkich kapitan Sobel. Jego surowe metody sprawiają, że grupa staje się jedną z najlepszych jednostek. Dwa lata później Kompania E zostaje przeniesiona do Upottery w Anglii, by tam przygotować się do inwazji na Normandię. Jednak Sobel ma słabą orientację w terenie. Żołnierze darzą większym szacunkiem porucznika Wintersa. (HBO)

A sweet return to childhood and the “Call of Duty 2” days, perfect in terms of costumes and locations, but the longer running time and the introductory "meet and greet" is a bit less attractive for the audience.

After a long break, I found myself drawn back to my favorite series, for two reasons. Firstly, I simply missed it. Secondly, having recently read the book by Stephen Ambrose, I was eager to compare my fresh impressions from the book with how the filmmakers handled it. I was completely satisfied. The minor differences made sense, and knowing the source material actually made me enjoy the episode even more than before.
