Anglia, lata dwudzieste XX wieku. Vita Sackville-West (Gemma Arterton) jest zuchwałą, pochodzącą z arystokracji żoną dyplomaty, która nie chce być ograniczana przez swoje małżeństwo. Kiedy poznaje błyskotliwą Virginię Woolf (Elizabeth Debicki), natychmiast przyciąga ją ekscentryczny geniusz i enigmatyczny urok znanej pisarki. Kobiety szybko zaczyna łączyć intensywna, pełna namiętności relacja, która inspiruje Woolf do napisania jednego z jej największych dzieł – powieści Orlando. (HBO)

Two excellent actresses in an interesting story that is not very interestingly told. Unfortunately, it could have been better than just average. In a theater where it doesn't pretend to be a movie, maybe. ()
Have you wondered what must have happened in Woolf's life for her to write "Orlando"? This and much more can be found in the new Vita & Virginia bio. The script (which was based on her play) was co-written by "House of Eliott" author Eileen Atkins. Virginia is played by the Gatsby-esque Elizabeth Debicki and Vita Sackville-West by Neil Jordan's favorite Gemma Arterton. I recommend it. ()
