Księżniczka Selina jako jedyna ocalała z katastrofy samolotu. Uznana za zmarłą, niespodziewanie dociera do Japonii, gdzie opiekę nad nią powierzono detektywowi Shindo. Księżniczka twierdzi, że pochodzi z Marsa, którego cywilizacja została zniszczona przez potwora Ghidorah. Tymczasem profesor Murai i jego ekipa badają olbrzymi meteor, który niedawno spadł na ziemię. Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a groundbreaking film in terms of story, at least within the entire Godzilla series. What I didn't like were some of the effects. It's evident that the Japanese also aimed for some lightheartedness and sprinkled in a few jokes here and there, but the movements of the monsters aren't as graceful anymore, and it's painfully obvious when there's a person in the lizard costume. It's a bit surprising that the effects are still done by the same legendary Eiji Tsuburaya. But this is still great monster fun for kaiju movie lovers. And not only for them.
