I am glad I saw this Nordic film called The Wolf. At first, it seems like the film will be about nothing else than chasing a wolf through the Nordic barren landscape, but that's not entirely true. This film actually delves into an incredibly stupid law that exists in Sweden, namely the ban on killing wolves due to their low population. If it happens, the person can face up to four years in prison. It is interesting that not only the Czech Republic has stupid laws created by a stupid government, but also Sweden and other neighboring countries are similarly affected in this case. It is also interesting that the creators of this film shot it in a way that harshly shows all the problems associated with this case, as perhaps no other nation can. The ending then seemed classically cruelly Nordic to me, until I realized that this is just life and a person must fight with it for as long as they are on this earth. I do not envy those who take care of the reindeer herd in the north. Those stupid Swedish laws will soon completely negate the only purpose of their livelihood. (02.05.2012)
