50 Cent wrote and directed a film in which he played the lead role because he felt that acting and filmmaking might go as well for him as rapping did. Well, he was somewhat wrong, but it's not that terrible. He simply made a quite ordinary action film that is supposed to have some social undertones, because some people just have bad luck. The amateurish approach and poor special effects are somewhat balanced by the gritty conception. But not that much. It’s simply a rather ordinary revenge film that seeks to stand out solely through 50 Cent.
