A cute high-school girl Kei Tsuchida joins a karate dojo. Kei was born with amazing athletic ability and quickly outshines the boys. Despite her accomplishments, the master Matsumura does not award her the coveted "Blackbelt". Kei only cares about kumite (fighting). Matsumura tries to teach Kei that karate is about more than just fighting and that "the real strength is in the kata (forms)". Kei wants a blackbelt and will do whatever it takes to get it. Kei's resentment towards Matsumura grows. She joins a secret group of fighters called Kowashiya (Destroyers) who allow her to use her extraordinary fighting skills and earn money doing so. Kei becomes deeply involved with Kowashiya until one day she discovers that the leaser of Kowashiya is planning an attack on her master Matsumura. Kei tries to warm Matsumura but it's too late.
