angielski At first, I was considering giving it four stars, but after some thought, I had to take one away. Compared to the Resident Evil films, I find these a bit more engaging and suspenseful. Maybe it’s because the main character here is Leon S. Kennedy, who is my favorite character from the "RE" games. He has great lines, and I find his character likable in every way. The best scenes undoubtedly took place at the airport, where the darkness took my breath away and the zombie attacks were surprising. The downside here is the limited number of action moments. After the action at the airport, I didn’t see much more. The final battle with the monster felt a bit amateurish to me. We’ll see how Resident Evil: Damnation turns out. I give Degeneration 65%. ()

angielski This has very little to do with Paul Anderson's film series, and I have no idea how much it touches on the original Capcom subject matter. Regardless, as a standalone film, it definitely holds up. It definitely gets bonus points for the video game stylization, not only in terms of the visuals but also the plot structure and (somewhat unfortunately) the elaboration of the characters or dialogue speech. It still moves along at a solid pace and if I turn a blind eye to the fact that I won't even remember it in a few days, I can consider it a very decent action B-movie. ()
